I’m a senior service designer at Harmonic Design based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, leading teams through service innovation. I have practiced in a variety of industries including telecommunications, retail, insurance, and more. I am excited about making sense of complex systems. I love to teach and that shows up both in the way I work with clients and in teaching and mentoring students.

Every day is different as a service designer – designing and facilitating co-design workshops (or even conversations) with clients, mapping complex journeys with multiple actors, designing and conducting ethnographic research, wading through research to uncover insights, depicting visions of future experiences, and navigating organizational complexity — ultimately, working with clients to deliver better experiences, and equipping them with the tools and skills to go further. My experience spans helping identify opportunities for new service experiences, defining future visions, and orchestrating the implementation of services.

When I’m not doing service design work, you might find me indulging in anime, drawing on my iPad, or attempting to make music..

I love to drink tea (especially Oolong), but I can do with a good cappuccino now and again. If you’d like to chat about bringing services to life in complex ecosystems, let’s connect.

Influences

Service Designer (2018 - Present) - I found the “altitude” and complexity I was yearning for in service design. I work as a service designer with Harmonic Design, headquartered in Atlanta, USA. As a service designer, every day is different. I wear multiple hats, working with clients to deliver well-considered end-to-end experiences from vision to implementation, and equipping them with the tools and skills to go further.

Master’s of Industrial Design @ Georgia Tech (2015 - 2018): I started my Masters in Industrial Design program at Georgia Institute of Technology. The program allowed for the breadth to explore beyond just traditional Industrial design. During my time there, I did a couple of internships at one of Atlanta’s top ID firms. I was a TA in the Design shop and taught a Summer Design Camp for high school students for two summers. Toward the end of my time in Grad School, I found myself wanting to look at design problems with a more zoomed-out and holistic lens.

Street Art in India (2011 - 2015): I began writing Graffiti and Street Art in India, inspired by art I had seen in NYC as a child, on the bare walls that lined the streets of Bangalore (India). I was one of the first “street artists” in India, transplanting a culture and helping build its foundation in a new territory. This passion shape-shifted into commissioned art and design work for clients. I co-founded a two-person consulting partnership. We created art for movies and music videos, did installation art, and set design. Along the way, I credit landing on design to the many passionate designers and architects I met along the way.

90’s Kid (1990s - 2000s) I grew up with a healthy mix of India, USA, a Nintendo 64 and Gameboy, banana leaf meals, and everything in between. These multicultural experiences shaped my worldview and my approach as a designer. I speak two languages, kind of understand three more, and write in one.
